Using renewable energy technology, such as solar panels, to support the automation of fish feeding is an innovative solution that can improve aquaculture efficiency. This study aims to test the performance of solar-powered automatic fish-feeding equipment implemented at the Medan City Fish Seed and Cultivation Center. Tests are carried out to monitor the current and power generated by solar panels and evaluate the device's effectiveness under field conditions. The test results showed that the device works optimally during the day, with a maximum current of 0.3 A and a maximum power of 100 W at the highest intensity of sunlight. Despite the decreased performance in the afternoon, this tool has proven to support the efficient automation of fish feeding. This technology significantly benefits fish farmers, including energy savings and operational costs. This research also provides essential information about the potential application of renewable energy in the fisheries sector more broadly.
