Author Guidelines

If you are interested in publishing your manuscript in our journal, please first review the About the Journal section and all policies within this journal. Then, register and prepare your manuscript according to the guidelines in this section. Once registered, simply log in and begin the five-step process.


Articles submitted to IRAJEST must be submitted through Online Submissions. The article must not have been previously published or currently under consideration in another journal. This is verified by filling out the author statement or originality statement, which must be submitted along with the article. This letter can be downloaded from the additional file in the Scientific Publication Ethics Clearance Statement [MS-Word/pdf].

 

Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English.
  2. Manuscripts must align with the focus and scope of IRAJEST.
  3. Manuscripts should be research articles (scientific articles), review articles, or short communications.
  4. The article should be typed in MS Word, with a maximum length of 10 pages on A4-sized paper, single-spaced, one-column format, and with the following margins: top (2 cm), bottom (2 cm), left (2.5 cm), and right (2 cm).
  5. The font used throughout the manuscript should be Calibri, 12pt, except for the title, author names, institution, and corresponding author’s email, which should follow the template.
  6. Use the IRAJEST article template, which can be downloaded here [MS-Word/PDF].
  7. The article content should include the Title, Author Names, Institution, Corresponding Author's Email, Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.

 

IRAJEST Manuscript Structure

  1. Title: Written in English and should not exceed 16 words.
  2. Authors: The author’s full name and institutional address must be clearly stated.
  3. Abstract: Written in English, with 150-250 words. The abstract must consist of the introduction, methods, results, and conclusion. References, figures, and tables are not allowed in the abstract.
  4. Keywords: Consist of 3-5 words that can be used to search the article.
  5. Introduction: Background, theoretical review, and research objectives must be implicitly stated in the introduction.
  6. Methods: All significant methods, including key materials used in the research, must be explained here.
  7. Results and Discussion: This section should explain the results, illustrations, interpretations, generalizations of the results, and their relation to previous research.
  8. Conclusion: Summarizes the important findings of the research and must be based on facts.
  9. Acknowledgments: Express gratitude to all parties who supported the research and article writing.
  10. References: Use the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (author-date) citation style, and it is recommended to use Mendeley as the reference manager.
  11. Each chapter and subchapter should be numbered (e.g., Chapter 1, Subchapter 1.1).
  12. The font size in tables should be smaller than the main text.
  13. Figure titles should be written and positioned below the figure, center-aligned.
